Happy Easter

It was Emma's very first Easter and we've had so much fun! It worked out well having Easter insanely early this year because it was at the beginning of Michael's spring break. When work and finals were over for the week we left the big city and headed to our parents' for the weekend. And boy, was the trip worth it. Not only did we get spoiled, but we got to celebrate Mike's birthday, again, and Easter.

Rock Band was Michael's birthday gift from his parents and we had a blast playing it as a family. Mike's cousins were pretty good at the game too.
"Mommy, I want to ROCK!"Here she is in action all by herself:

Then we hunted for Easter eggs over and over again. Actually, the hunting for eggs began a week ago just hiding them over and over again around our messy living room. Riley not only liked hiding them but finding them. We hunted eggs at out apartment, at both grandparents' yards, we even hunted eggs in grandpa's boat.

Yes, we enjoyed a boat ride in March! It wasn't too chilly, but really nice when we were in the sunshine.
It was Emma's very fist time in the boat and she did really well. She did not LOVE her life jacket like Riley does, but she was a good sport.

Easter Dresses! What cuties!!
We loved the wonderful food and even more the company of those we love best of all. We even got to spend time with Aunt Erica and the great-grandparents. Thanks, grandparents for all the wonderful Easter gifts and good times! So grateful to be around family while we celebrate spring and the renewal of life promised through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Oh wow, you guys had quite the vacation! I loved watching Riley on the drums! Emma's Easter Bunny outfit was the cutest I have seen so far! She looked adorable in it!
I can't wait for Julia to grow up enough so she can enjoy an Easter egg hunt like Riley did this year!

Emma is sooo cute with those bunny ears on. Wish we had been there!
