On the big day, Riley had her very first party with friends and it was great!! The kids played games, ate lunch, decorated cupcakes, what could be better?
Well, maybe actually eating said cupcakes, but oh well. At least the table looked great and the presents were beautifully wrapped and Riley got to eat mac-n-cheese AND pigs in a blanket her very favorite foods. We had so much fun. After naps and quiet time we saw a movie and then went to McDonald's for dinner, where Riley climbed all over the playland for the first time. She was spoiled all day long and loved it. We had fun celebrating and Michael was enjoying any excuse to put off studying for finals.A few days later we let Riley open a few more presents. We kind of held them back because we knew she wouldn't be able to do anything else once she saw them. Some friends had given us their old tiny bike w/training wheels a long time ago, but she was never allowed to ride it without a helmet. So we finally found one small enough and luckily it was even pink!
Doesn't she look like such a big girl?!?
We are so proud of our little girl who is so happy and helpful and beautiful and bright. What change and joy she has brought into our lives. We are so lucky to have her in our family!!! We love you, Riley!

I absolutely loved the bike picture! What a cute helmet, and could she look any more adorable in her little white and pink outfit!
I love the slideshow of Riley--I can't believe how fast the years have gone by--she is so cute--and so much fun.
Riley I forgot how little you were when I first met you. You're still sooo adorable!
